3D printing
with a very high level of detail
To create high quality jewelry, from models drawn by us or yourself, we use 3D printing. We produce high resolution models using our Solidscape and 3D Systems printers.
With the first type, we make waxes that will be used for lost wax casting to obtain a variety of metals. To do this, we can send them directly to one of the casting companies in our building or you can come and collect them at our workshop to cast them yourself.
With our other type of printer, we are able to produce plastic prototypes for tryouts and demonstrations to customers. Usually we include a drawn version of the stones in these models to really give a good idea of the end result. They also give confirmation of the full-size look to unsure customers to assure them it’s the right design choice.

Fichiers .stl

Soyez sans crainte, nous prenons vos droits d'auteurs très au sérieux et ne partageons on ne reproduisons jamais vos .STL sans votre consentement.

Calcul de la soumission et délais
Avec les fichiers .STL nous faisons une simulation pour calculer le temps que la machine mettra pour compléter l'impression et nous le multiplions par notre taux horaire pour vous faire une soumission.
Nous discuterons ensuite des délais et nous entendrons sur une date de livraison (environ 1-3 jours ouvrables).

Impression 3D et coulage
Une fois que vous serez satisfait, nous lancerons l'impression 3D des modèles en cire ou en plastique. Les cires pourrons être acheminées dans une des entreprises de coulage à même notre édifice (ils peuvent aussi vous expédier le métal) ou vous pourrez venir les récupérer en personne à notre atelier. Pour les plastiques, ils vous seront livrés ou vous pourrez venir les prendre chez nous.

DISADVANTAGES

- The printing process leaves a fine lined texture on the models
- Higher cost than traditional wax carving method
- Wax is brittle because it does not support any flexibility, much like blackboard chalk. So, it must be handled delicately and transported very carefully.
